Christopher J. Thrash, MD, is a board-certified physician who has been caring for individuals and families in Santa Barbara since 2014. He is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, relationship-centered medical care with an emphasis on accessibility, trust, and long-term wellness.

Dr. Thrash graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a degree in Chemical Engineering before earning his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed a combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics residency at UCLA, where he also taught medical students. His dual training allows him to care for patients across the lifespan with a broad, comprehensive perspective.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Thrash has held leadership roles at Cottage Hospital, including Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine and representative on the Medical Executive Committee. He has also served on several nonprofit boards in the Santa Barbara community, reflecting his longstanding commitment to service and civic engagement.

Dr. Thrash is known for his calm, attentive approach and for taking the time to understand each patient as a whole person. He is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his patients and guiding them with personalized, high-quality care. His work is grounded in a deep commitment to mentorship, community service, and compassionate medical care, both locally and through volunteer work abroad.
